We live in Portland, Oregon, and a few years ago, we had never been to Puerto Vallarta. We came here the first time for New Years with some friends, and quickly fell in love with the city, the beaches, the weather, the people, the restaurants, and the non-stop flight options from the Pacific Northwest.

Why this place?

When we decided we wanted to buy a place of our own in Vallarta, we spent a LOT of time thinking about what it should be. We're not lucky enough to be able to live here full time for several years more, so in the meanwhile we wanted to find an ideal combination of a place we love to be, in a great location, in a beautiful city, where we think lots of other people will enjoy staying, too. We settled on this building, Oceana, on the "restaurant row" of Basilio Badillo.

Oceana Vallarta itself is a wonderful new building in an excellent location, surrounded by restaurants, shops, theaters, art galleries, and night life -- all without any hills to climb up or down. The rooftop includes one of the best equipped condo gym facilities in old town.
